My art explores culture in relation to the landscape, particularly the woodland which is shaped by human memory and thus is constantly changing in relation to history and time. Haunting and dwelling, represented through light, shadow and movement, are transcribed from the woodland to an inside space. Thus, I create culturally constructed woodlands, emphasising different codes, times and memories to the viewer that they might not necessarily acknowledge in the landscape.
